Spruce View Celebrates Canada Day

The Spruce View Hall was packed with over 800 people who were enjoying a marvolous pancake breakfast, which was served by the Spruce View Ladies Club and the Spruce View Lions Club.  The wonderful music from the band playing in the adjacent park drifted into the hall to provide entertainment as neighbors and friends socialized and ate breakfast.  After breakfast the crowds drifted toward the parade route to find a perfect location to sit and watch the annual parade.

The parade had many interesting entries.  It started off with the RCMP leading the way followed by various organizations and clubs including the Spruce View Lions Club, the 4-H Club and the horse club.  Of course all of the local dignitaries were included in the parade as well as floats from many of the local businesses.  Always a crowd pleaser are the antique tractors, trucks and cars.  As usual the fire trucks and ambulance take their place at the end of the parade.

It was a fabulous way to spend the morning!
