Road Construction Out West

Filed under: Around Town — JackZ @ 8:12 pm

I took a short drive out west of town, and was amazed at all the construction happening.

The first thing you see is a deep hole on the south side of the highway leading out of town.  Not quite sure what is being built there, but it will have a strong foundation by the look of things.

Next the road to the west of town, the old access to the industrial area – it is all blocked off as they rebuild the road that will eventually connect with highway 2.

Then as you go around the curve past the golf course, a few miles down the road you see where they are building a new road to make it safer to cross the bridge over the Red Deer River.

And finally on the far side of the Red Deer River they are moving the road to eliminate the right angle curves going west of town.

I will slip out with my camera in a few days and get some shots for you.

Back in Town

I was away for a couple weeks – up in North East Saskatchewan at Turtle Lake with the Family. We had a great time – the boys were Skiing and Knee boarding and the adults were simply enjoying the excellent weather.
