Part of what I want to do on this site is to highlight Innisfail business. Give local establishments a helping hand by giving them some exposure.
Business these days is pretty good in our province. But if you are not taking advantage of any marketing opportunities that arise – you are losing money. And who likes to lose money.
There are immense opportunities for low cost advertising and marketing available to business these days. Especially with the growing popularity of the web. So business people must take advantage of that.
I saw a bad example of what not to do today.
When I am around Innisfail on a day to day basis, I always take note of how different companies advertise. I take particular note of which business use the internet.
I saw a truck go buy today with a logo and their business website on the side in large letters – ‘www.innisfailgrowers.ab.ca’. I thought – good for them – taking advantage of the large ‘free’ billboard on the side of their delivery truck. As soon as I got home I wanted to check out their website.
But unfortunately that website they advertised so prominently on the side of their truck is not available – no site. They did not take the time to complete their marketing, or else let it lapse.
Innisfail Growers needs to get their website up – take advantage of the excellent opportunity, and the free advertising they are generating everyday with their roving billboard.
