Innisfail's newest project is the Innisfail Library Film Circuit - offering residents an alternative film-going experience. The Innisfail Library Film Circuit has a full season of eight films lined up. And we have been off to a great start showing films from September - January. All reviews were absolutely excellent. The films are showing at the Century Theatre on the second Sunday of every month from September to April. All profits will go towards funding the multi-media projects for the new Innisfail Library. "It's set up to promote the interest in better quality films," said Norma Hoppins with the film circuit. The movies include independent Canadian or foreign films, and not necessarily the big blockbusters shown in the mainstream theatres. The films the circuit will be showing all come from the Toronton International Film Festival Group. Hoppins said Innisfail's film group spent hours flipping through a book from TIFF to choose the movies to show locally. |
